I began my writing career while studying for a Journalism degree at Solent University, successfully pitching articles to magazines such as The Big Issue. After graduating with a 2.1 I was offered a Junior Reporter job across two bi-monthly B2B publications, Retail Systems and FSTech. Eighteen months later, having risen to the position of Editor, I moved to Leicester to live with my then girlfriend (now wife) Jacqui, and decided to take the plunge into freelancing.
In the years since I’ve been lucky enough to work with some amazing clients, and I still get a kick out of seeing my byline in the national press. Although I now specialise in futures topics I’ve also written extensively about video games, the third sector and small business issues. And my travel writing has been published by The Observer, Evening Standard and Scotland on Sunday.
When I’m not working I like to read, watch old movies with my wife and explore London on foot. I also dabble in photography, and try to resist bidding for typewriters on eBay.
